OSF positions include a base salary commensurate with experience plus RVU bonus incentives.

Cognitive Neurology
Peoria, Illinois – Seeking a board-certified neurologist with fellowship training in cognitive neurology and a specific interest in Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia to join our growing practice. This neurology group practice includes seventeen neurologists and eight advanced practice nurses. Most faculty are fellowship trained. Subspecialties include multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-rehabilitation, epilepsy, stroke, headache/pain, and sleep. See clinic patients during each weekday from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call is currently 2-3 nights per month. Hospital inpatient neurology service occurs in two week blocks, in approximately five to six rotations per year.
Epilepsy
Peoria, Illinois - The Illinois Neurological Institute (INI), a major teaching affiliate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, seeks an epileptologist to join our growing team. Join three clinical neurophysiology-trained and-certified epileptologists in our growing practice. The Illinois Neurological Institute Epilepsy Center is a level IV Epilepsy Center with a busy surgical program. This position will include admitting patients to the dedicated epilepsy monitoring unit, participating in inpatient epilepsy/seizure consults and outpatient epilepsy clinics at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, and reviewing neurophysiologic studies (EEGs, EPs). Physician will participate in regional development efforts, including establishment of new outreach subspecialty clinics, as well as system-wide epilepsy care and intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring services. Nurse practitioner and experienced neurosurgical support are in place for epilepsy surgery evaluations. Advanced neuroimaging includes MRI, fMRI, PET scan, and SPECT. This neurology group includes seventeen neurologists and eight advanced practice nurses. Most faculty are fellowship trained. Subspecialties include multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-rehabilitation, epilepsy, stroke, headache/pain, and sleep. Physician will receive academic appointment at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria and be involved with teaching residents and medical students.
Rockford, Illinois - Busy neurology practice seeks an additional neurologist who completed an accredited residency in neurology, followed by a clinical fellowship in epilepsy. Post-fellowship experience desired, and experience in running an inpatient and outpatient epilepsy program preferred. Physician will be responsible for the focused development of an epilepsy clinic as a new service in the region, with a goal toward the rapid actualization of an inpatient epilepsy service, including video-EEG monitoring unit development. Duties include the building of surgical epilepsy services, to begin with candidates for vagus nerve stimulation, then with respective and ablative brain surgery procedures in conjunction with neurosurgery. Some general neurology coverage is required during the initial phase of building the epilepsy program.

Bloomington, Illinois – McLean County Neurology, an established and respected neurology group, seeks an additional neurologist. This employed physician will enjoy a strong referral base from OSF Medical Group and over 70 primary care physicians in the area. Call is 1:5.
Davenport, Iowa - The Illinois Neurological Institute (INI) at Genesis Health System, a joint venture of OSF HealthCare and Genesis Health, provides comprehensive neuroscience care to the four-hospital Genesis Health System. Genesis serves a 10-county, bi-state region of the Quad Cities metropolitan area and the surrounding communities of Iowa and Illinois. Physician will be responsible for general neurology care, with a significant commitment to inpatient neurology, and work with four board-certified neurologists currently on the Genesis staff. Call of 1:5. A staff of eight neurologists is ultimately anticipated. Primary neurology service is located at Genesis Medical Center West, in Davenport, Iowa, with Genesis East and West having a combined capacity of 520 beds. Ottawa, Illinois – The Illinois Neurological Institute (INI), a major teaching affiliate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP), seeks a neurologist for a new position being created in Ottawa in order to expand the clinical practice. The INI group practice, with headquarters in Peoria, Illinois, includes sixteen neurologists and six nurse practitioners. Most faculty are fellowship trained and subspecialties include multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-rehabilitation, epilepsy, stroke, headache/pain, and sleep medicine. This new general neurology practice will begin with one neurologist and expand as soon as possible to two neurologists. The physician will see outpatients at our Ottawa practice and perform hospital consultations (inpatient and emergency department) at Ottawa Regional Hospital. Night and weekend call for hospital consultations will be 1:3 or better. Peoria, Illinois – The Illinois Neurological Institute (INI) seeks a general neurologist to join a neurology group practice including 17 neurologists and eight advanced practice nurses. Most faculty are fellowship-trained. Subspecialties include Multiple Sclerosis (MS), neuromuscular, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-rehabilitation, epilepsy, stroke, headache/pain, and sleep. Clinic patients will be seen during each weekday from approximately 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call is currently two to three nights per month. Hospital inpatient neurology service occurs in 2 week blocks in approximately 5 to 6 rotations per year. An academic appointment at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP) and teaching residents and medical students are integral parts of this opportunity. The neurology residency currently consists of two residents per year and is anticipated to grow. Research, particularly investigator-driven clinical work, is also encouraged in this position. Summer undergraduate research internships are usually available to provide physicians with greater opportunity to carry out research while mentoring students. Residents are also encouraged to carry out clinical research and write case reports with the guidance of faculty. Movement Disorders
Peoria, Illinois - The Illinois Neurological Institute (INI), a major teaching affiliate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP), seeks a movement disorders neurologist to join our growing team. Physician will receive academic appointment at UICOMP and be involved with teaching residents and medical students. Research, particularly investigator-driven clinical work, is also integral to this position. Summer undergraduate research internships are usually available to provide physicians with greater opportunity to carry out clinical research while mentoring young students. Neurology residents are also encouraged to carry out clinical research and write case reports with the guidance of neurology faculty. Currently, our center serves as the only movement disorders clinic in the area providing specialized care to the large population of Central Illinois. Our staff includes a movement disorders fellowship trained neurologist, functional neurosurgeon, nurse, social worker, and neuro-rehabilitation staff that work closely with our patients to provide excellent care. We provide services including DBS implantation and programming, Botulinum toxin clinic, and a multidisciplinary Spasticity clinic. This neurology group practice includes seventeen neurologists and six nurse practitioners. Most faculty are fellowship trained. Peoria, Illinois (Medical Director) - An experienced Multiple Sclerosis physician is needed to serve as Medical Director. Prior academic background, including teaching, is a plus. Neurocritical Care
Peoria, Illinois – Neurocritical Care Intensivist - We seek a board-certified neurologist who is fellowship trained in neurocritical care medicine. This is a full-time, salary-supported position. You will serve as a staff neuro-intensivist and will be responsible for providing primary medical management of patients within the unit, as well as oversight and collaboration with other practitioners who provide care in the unit. It is expected that you will be facile in all aspects of multi-system critical care including ICU procedural competencies. The Illinois Neurological Institute (INI) supports well-established, on-site residency training programs in neurology and neurosurgery. There is a clear expectation that you will be engaged in academic scholarly activities to include clinical research, curriculum development, and/or other editorial or primary medical authorship. Joint academic appointment with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP) is available and desirable.
Peoria, Illinois - Medical Director for Neurocritical Care Services - We seek a board-certified neurocritical care medicine physician who has significant clinical experience post-fellowship to serve as the medical director of Neurocritical Care Services. Prior leadership experience in an academic tertiary care environment is highly desirable. In this position, you will develop a neurocritical care service. You will be responsible for providing medical management of patients within the unit, as well as oversight and collaboration with other practitioners who provide care in the unit. You will additionally oversee and direct all neurocritical care practice efficiencies, quality improvement programs, and educational activities for medical students, residents, nurses, and allied health professionals who provide care in the neurocritical care areas. It is expected that you will be facile in all aspects of multi-system critical care including ICU procedural competencies. In addition to the Illinois Neurological Institute (INI), you will work collaboratively with the director of Critical Care Services at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, other ICU medical directors, the Critical Care Committee, and institutional quality medicine. Neuroendovascular
Rockford, Illinois - Busy neuroscience practice seeks an experienced neuroendovascular specialist, with two years of fellowship training in neuroendovascular therapy, to serve a well-established and growing patient base in Rockford, Illinois. Primary background in neurology, neurosurgery, or radiology; American board certification or eligibility, in primary specialty, is required. Caseload will include, but is not limited to, stroke interventions, aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage management, embolizations for AVMs, fistulas, tumors, kyphoplasty, vertebroplasty and intraoperative cerebral angiography; and other interventions as desired by the candidate. Neurohospitalist
Peoria, Illinois – The Illinois Neurological Institute (INI), a major teaching affiliate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, seeks a neurohospitalist to lead and further develop our inpatient teaching service. The Illinois Neurological Institute provides neuroscience care, education, and research in OSF HealthCare, a large midwestern multi-hospital group and pioneer ACO. The INI is developing a teaching neuro-hospitalist service in the 100+ bed INI facility, within OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. We seek a skilled general neurologist and effective leader who wishes to manage complex inpatient care with a team of residents and consulting specialty neurologists. The candidate should be board-certified with experience on a busy neurology service and will have a clinical faculty appointment in the University of Illinois College of Medicine. The director will join a service of 18 neurologists and five pediatric neurologists. The Academic Chief of Neuro-Hospitalist Service will be responsible for scheduling attendings on neuro-hospitalist rotations, recruiting additional physicians and providers, serving as a liaison to neuro ICU and stroke teams, working with our residency program to optimize resident teaching as well as patient care, developing teleneurology in coordination with telestroke, and modeling the neuro-hospitalist program for other hospitals within OSF HealthCare.
Neurosurgery
Rockford, Illinois - Very busy neurosurgery group seeks an additional neurosurgeon to serve a well-established and growing patient base in Rockford, Illinois. Fellowship training preferred; strong general neurosurgical skills required. Physician must be board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. The scope of this practice will include performance of neurosurgical procedures, outpatient clinic consultations, and shared cross-coverage with three board-certified neurosurgeons. Bloomington, Illinois - Illinois Neurological Institute (INI) seeks a board-certified neurologist with stroke fellowship training. Call is 1:6. Physician will lead the development of the stroke program by ensuring adequate resources are allocated to key components of the program, serving as an attending physician in the INI Stroke Clinic and stroke service and the leading physician when conducting stroke rounds and be involved in developing treatment protocols and management standards. Highly specialized interventional neuroradiologists work closely with our stroke team for acute intervention.
Rockford, Illinois – Illinois Neurological Institute (INI) Stroke Clinic seeks a stroke neurologist, with stroke fellowship training preferred, to serve a well established and growing patient base. Call is 1:4 or better. Physician will lead the development of the stroke program by ensuring adequate resources are allocated to key components of the program, serving as an attending physician in the INI Stroke Clinic and stroke service and the leading physician when conducting stroke rounds and be involved in developing treatment protocols and management standards. Additional responsibilities include maintaining OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center Joint Commission certification as a Primary Stroke Center, collaborating with the System Director of the INI Stroke Network, and teaching other health care professionals, such as PAs and APNs. Practice in a beautifully designed, functional and well equipped medical office, adjacent to the hospital, with two other board-certified neurologists and three board-certified neurosurgeons in a collegially supported environment with an average of 400 stroke patients currently being seen per year in this practice.
