Who We Are

OSF Saint Clare Home opened in 1971 as Galena Park Home as a result of the combined efforts of Peoria's three hospitals.  On September 1, 1998 OSF Healthcare System assumed full ownership of the nursing home.  Its original one story design is very convenient for both our residents and for our staff to provide the personal care and prompt attention our residents and families expect.

As a state licensed 98 bed, not-for-profit continuing nursing care facility, we provide both short-term and long-term skilled and intermediate care.  OSF Saint Clare Home is certified as both a Medicare and a Medicaid provider and is owned and operated by The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis, OSF Healthcare System.

Mission

Upholding the Philosophy and Values of St. Francis, The Sisters of the Third Order and staff of OSF Saint Clare Home will endeavor to provide for the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of all entrusted to its care, recognizing each person to be precious in the sight of God.  By giving of ourselves in a spirit of patience, compassion, and mercy, we will strive to participate in the healing ministry of Christ and be worthy of this high calling.
