OSF HealthCare, owned and operated by The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis, Peoria, Illinois, includes OSF Healthcare System consisting of nine acute care facilities, one long-term care facility and two colleges of nursing. It also has a physician organization, OSF Medical Group. To align more closely our care delivery system with physicians we developed clinical service lines in cardiac services, neurosciences and pediatrics. We employ 641 physicians and mid-level providers operating in eight LLC corporations and in more than 50 office sites. OSF HealthCare owns an extensive network of home health services known as OSF Home Care Services and also owns OSF Saint Francis, Inc., comprised of healthcare-related businesses, and OSF Healthcare Foundation, the philanthropic arm for OSF Healthcare System and OSF Home Care Services.

System Services

OSF Medical Group includes a multi-specialty group of more than 650 member physicians and advanced practitioners in over 90 locations throughout Illinois. This group of collegial and collaborative providers uses a team-based approach to create an integrated system of patient-centered care.

OSF Saint Francis, Inc. is comprised of health care-related businesses providing valuable products and services to areas served by OSF HealthCare and others.

OSF Home Care Services, in conjunction with patients and their families, provides services that promote the optimal level of independence while maintaining quality of life. All services are provided in accordance with the Philosophy and Values of The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis and OSF Home Care. Home care services are provided to patients with a physician’s order (not all services, e.g. homemaker, require orders). OSF Home Care Services includes hospice, home health, home medical equipment, home infusion pharmacy, physician house calls, private home care, a personal response system and a diabetes supply program.

Cardiovascular Services

OSF HealthCare integrates adult cardiovascular services focuses on adult cardiovascular patients across the entire OSF HealthCare System continuum of care. This continuum of care includes all OSF physician practices, hospitals, ambulatory and diagnostic centers, home care services and hospice.

HeartCare Midwest
HeartCare Midwest has offices in Peoria, Pekin, Bloomington, Galesburg and Ottawa. Outreach care is provided at nine satellite clinics. HeartCare Midwest physicians provide a broad spectrum of cardiovascular services at OSF hospitals in central Illinois and 13 non OSF hospitals.

Rockford Cardiovascular Associates
Rockford Cardiovascular Associates has offices in Rockford and DeKalb.  Outreach care is provided at one satellite clinic.  Rockford Cardiovascular Associates physicians provide a broad spectrum of CV services for OSF SAMC and four non OSF hospitals.

Neuroscience Services

The Illinois Neurological Institute (INI) is a leader in the Midwest for clinical care, research, and education in neurological illness. Although many components of the INI were initiated over thirty years ago, it more recently was organized as a hospital within OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in 2000. The INI has three distinguishing characteristics which make it the choice for neurological care in central Illinois.
