A graduate of Western Michigan University with a degree in journalism, she previously worked as a writer/editor/blogger and restaurant critic for the Peoria Journal Star for 13 years.

She lives in Dunlap with her husband, son and 100-pound Labrador retriever that doesn't retrieve. In her free time she likes to write, hike and busy herself with culinary matters.
