Connections 112: Home Medical Equipment & Home Infusion Pharmacy

As you know from my previous posts, November is National Home Care & Hospice Month. To expand your knowledge of OSF Home Care Services, I’d like to highlight OSF Home Medical Equipment and OSF Home Infusion Pharmacy this week.

Home Medical Equipment
With one phone call, OSF Home Medical Equipment can provide patients with the equipment needed, whether it be oxygen, bathroom safety supplies, walkers, hospital beds or more, to remain safe and comfortable at home. In addition to oxygen, other respiratory supplies are available including: CPAP, Concentrators, Nebulizers, BiPAP, NPPV and ventilators.

The staff provides in-home delivery and pick-up services, as well as education, for qualifying equipment. Additionally, our staff is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for questions or emergency repair services by calling (877) 795-0416. OSF Home Medical Equipment also maintains three retail stores, one in each of our major market areas of Peoria, Bloomington-Normal, and Rockford, Illinois.

Home Infusion Pharmacy
OSF Home Infusion Pharmacy specializes in providing home intravenous therapies, clinical therapy management and other related support services not available from most traditional retail pharmacies; for example, antibiotic/antiviral/antifungal therapy/total parenteral nutrition, central line catheter supplies, chemotherapy, enteral nutrition supplies and glucocorticoids.

The OSF Our Home Infusion Pharmacy team is composed of clinical pharmacists, certified pharmacy technicians and nurses.

Again, if you have any questions about these or any of the services provided by OSF Home Care, please contact me and, if need be, I can direct you to the appropriate person.
