Connections 122: Supportive Care Operations Council

This is the last preview for our 2012 Annual Report for OSF Supportive Care.

Another significant stride we made in 2012 involved shifting the focus on how we are going to accomplish our objectives. Linda Fehr, Director of OSF Supportive Care, explains “the Supportive Care Governance Council recognized the need for more input from those close to the care of our patients.  This led to the formation of the Operations Council in 2012.”

According to Linda, “a major purpose of the council is to promote peer-to-peer exchange between regions and facilities.  The input of those closest to the patient will provide us with practical guidance necessary to operate current and new supportive care programs.  It is at this level of cooperation and sharing that will make the difference in how supportive care is provided throughout OSF HealthCare.”
