Meet Our Dreamers

Though they look like your average kids, they are much more than that. They are resilient, courageous, strong – they are fighters. And now, they have the opportunity to live their wildest dreams thanks to the care they received at OSF HealthCare Children's Hospital of Illinois.


Open Heart Surgery

At just 17-days-old, Ryli underwent her first open-heart surgery. Ryli's mom, Holli, says she has accomplished so much and knows there is so much in her future to look forward to.


Blood Disorder

Diagnosed with a blood disorder at birth called beta thalassemia major, Ru receives blood transfusions every four weeks at the St. Jude Midwest Affiliate at OSF Children’s Hospital. Ru says there are so many possibilities for her future.

Born Premature

Zayan was born two months early and spent 10 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Today Zayan is a fun-loving, outgoing child who loves playing with his two older siblings.


Open Heart Surgery

Myla has had seven open heart surgeries since she was born. She’s holding a 3D model of her heart. Myla’s doctors were able to plan her surgical procedures in advance to lessen the surgery time and know the best approach possible. Now, you’d never know she’s had even one surgery. She’s a vibrant, playful 5-year-old.


Kidney Surgery

Born with only one kidney, Brady endured a four-hour surgery at just 4 years old. Today, he’s an all-star baseball player, dreaming of the big leagues.


Heart and Lung Defect

Beau spent his first seven months of life at OSF Children’s Hospital. He underwent two heart-related surgeries, including an open-heart surgery. These days, Beau is keeping up with his twin sister, Brooklyn.
