At 32 weeks in utero, Easton was diagnosed with severe congenital heart defects. Easton was born at OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois and had three open heart surgeries in his first nine months of life. 

His mom, Ashley, recalls Easton’s care experience, “The most special part of receiving care at OSF Children’s Hospital was being surrounded by caregivers at every level that cared for our whole family, prayed for us, and were closely woven into our story”.
