Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machines are used for the treatment of sleep apnea and snoring. These machines must be used properly for the most effective results.
At Illinois Lung & Critical Care Institute, the CPAP clinic consists of individual sessions with our techs/therapists to help patients understand the proper use of the equipment and increase CPAP compliance and utilization.
What to Expect
During your visit, you will meet with one of our trained CPAP technician/therapists. If you have questions about the sleep test or want a better understanding of what you were told during your office visit, the CPAP Clinic is designed to answer those.
If you have less common problems with your sleep, you can discuss them in the CPAP clinic, the tech can help determine if you need to see the physician, or whether a phone call will take care of the problem.
If you are having troubles with equipment our CPAP Clinic is where you'll find the mask that is right for you, and get the equipment required to make the CPAP work effectively. You will learn how to properly maintain and get many years of trouble free use from the CPAP equipment.
CPAP Equipment & Supplies
At Illinois Lung, we do not sell CPAP equipment or supplies; our only concern is helping you understand how to use your CPAP to get the most of your sleep at night.
There are several options for buying home medical supplies. You will want to verify coverage of your HME program with your insurance carrier prior to purchase.
OSF HealthCare does offer CPAP equipment and supplies through the OSF Home Medical Equipment program.
