Ottawa Regional Medical Center, a Part of OSF HealthCare, Introduces OSF myHealth

OSF myHealth was launched in June 2013 to give patients direct online access to portions of their electronic medical records (EMR), including health information, medications, immunizations and more, all for quick retrieval at patients’ convenience. Whether at work, on the road or at home, patients can view test results, send and receive secure messages from their doctor’s office and review key medical informa­tion. Family member accounts established with permission by proxy can be linked together in OSF myHealth for convenient access to medical information and scheduling in one place.

Use a personal email account for OSF myHealth
Patients will need a personal email account to activate OSF myHealth.  Those without an email account can set up a free one through services such as gmail.com or outlook.com.  With a personal email address at hand, go online to www.osfmyhealth.org.  Select the option to “Request an Activation Code,” complete a short form and click “Submit.”  Requests will be verified by the OSF Call Center and a confidential letter, including a personal activation code, will be sent to your home address as listed in your medical record.  Once you receive your activation code, return to www.osfmyhealth.org and select the option to “Activate Your Account.”  You’ll be asked to create a unique password and your account will be activated. 

OSF myHealth is also available through the MyChart app for both the iPhone and Android devices. This app provides free, fast and secure access to the most frequently used features of OSF myHealth. The app can be downloaded from the iTunes App store or the Android Market. To use the mobile app, patients must first already have an OSF myHealth account.
