OSF Holy Family Medical Center was recently named as a recipient of the Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award. This award recognizes OSF Holy Family for their outstanding quality of care.
Healthgrades analyzed 3,939 U.S. Hospitals across the country based on their Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey results covering admissions from April 2012 through March 2013. To be eligible for the patient experience award, hospitals had to deliver excellent patient experiences during hospitalization. Only the top 15 percent of this national group (447 hospitals) received the 2014 award.

Healthgrades evaluated the performance of OSF Holy Family based on addressing 27 different questions ranging from cleanliness and noise levels to pain management and responsiveness. The survey also included whether a patient would recommend the hospital to friends or family.
