Our Third Quarter Achievers In Mission (A.I.M.) for Excellence Award recipient for 2014 is Mary Heath, RN, Director of Education. Mary has been an employee for 28 years and was selected for this honor due to her many wonderful and caring qualities, some of which were mentioned specifically as:
“Mary is a mentor not only to students and new hires, but to current staff as well. She has a ‘can do’ approach to all she works with.”
“Mary goes above and beyond on a daily basis and she does it with a smile and treats all with respect.”
“Mary is a role model for others in serving with the greatest care and love and knowing how her role actually touches employees and patients alike. OSF is fortunate to have Mary.”
Vice President, Ken Beutke stated, “Mary has a great relationship with leaders and staff. As the educator, she interacts with all employees and is seen as a resource for educational needs. Mary has recently served on the One OSF New Employee Orientation. She has been a valuable resource and works to keep the work reality based. Mary is an exceptional leader who models the way with compassion and she is respected by many.”
With this honor Mary received a framed certificate of appreciation, a monetary amount, a reception in her department, a corsage and a special parking place. Her name and photo will be added to the A.I.M. for Excellence plaque located in the lobby of the medical center.
Mary and her husband Dave reside in Dwight. They have three grown children and six grandchildren.
