Robert Yin, M.D., board certified gastroenterology (GI) specialist, has joined the Medical Staff at OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group and is now accepting new patients.
His special areas of interest include:
- Chronic heartburn or acid reflux
- Crohn’s disease
- Ulcerative colitis
- Irritable bowel syndrome
Dr. Yin received his bachelor of arts degree in natural sciences from Johns Hopkins University, a master of science degree in public health from Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health in Baltimore and his medical degree from St. Georges University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies.
He completed his internal medicine residency at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center and a fellowship in gastroenterology at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., serving as instructor of medicine. He has received training in all GI procedures. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, member of the Maryland Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, member of the Young Physicians and Legislative Subcommittee for the Baltimore City Medical Society and member of the American College of Gastroenterology.
Prior to joining OSF, Dr. Yin had most recently practiced at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Maryland. He and his wife, Valerie, are settling into their new home in Escanaba.
