More than 220 guests enjoyed an evening in Nashville Saturday, November 1, at the 26th Annual OSF St. Joseph Foundation Crystal Ball. This year’s event raised more than $107,000 and will support equipment for the medical center’s Hybrid Operating Room.
The theme of this year’s Crystal Ball was Boots & Diamonds, An Evening in Nashville. Connie Nord and Connie Mandula served as hostesses for the evening. Greg Cook, General Manager of Great Plains Media, Inc., was honored with the Crystal Ball Award, which recognizes outstanding support and service to OSF St. Joseph Medical Center and the Foundation. Cook has served on the Foundation Council at OSF St. Joseph since 2011 and is currently council president. He has invited community and national leaders to tour the medical center, helped to coordinate a special flag dedication ceremony for Veterans Day in 2013, supports Foundation initiatives and is a strong and valued ambassador for the medical center. “To be recognized with this award reaffirms for me how proud I am to be affiliated with OSF St. Joseph Medical Center and a Foundation Council of dedicated community leaders who join me in supporting the Sisters’ mission,” said Cook.
Guests enjoyed a champagne reception, gourmet dinner, photo booth, live auction, and a jewelry raffle featuring exquisite pieces generously donated by Bremer Jewelry. Nashville recording artist Eric Lee Beddingfield provided the entertainment for the evening.
The Crystal Ball is OSF St. Joseph Foundation’s largest annual fundraising event and is considered one of the premier black tie galas held in Bloomington-Normal.
