OSF Holy Family Medical Center Receives Healthgrades Award

OSF Holy Family Medical Center was recently named as a recipient of the Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award. This award recognizes OSF Holy Family for their outstanding quality of care.

There were 452 hospitals that achieved the 2015 Healthgrades Outstanding Patient Experience Award, distinguished as the top 15% of hospitals nationally, based on how their own patients responded to the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey for visits occurring between January and December of 2013.

Healthgrades evaluated patient experience by applying a scoring methodology to 10 patient experience measures data supplied by the HCHAPS survey of patients’ perspectives of their hospital care.  OSF Holy Family’s performance was based on questions ranging from cleanliness and noise levels to pain management and responsiveness. The survey also included whether a patient would recommend the hospital to friends or family.
