The OSF St. Joseph Foundation will host a reception this spring to highlight the inaugural year of Women Empowered, a women’s giving initiative of the Foundation. The reception will be held on Thursday, May 14, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Center for Healthy Lifestyles at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, located near Entrance D. Light hors d’oeuvres and wine will be provided.
The reception will feature special guests Dr. Karthik Ghosh of Mayo Clinic and Elizabeth Cleveland, nurse practitioner for OSF Medical Group who will speak on general women’s health, including the importance of screenings and how women can become advocates for women’s health. The reception is being sponsored by Obstetrics and Gynecology Care Associates, S.C.
Members of Women Empowered recently awarded their program’s first grant, which will support domestic violence training for front-line staff at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center.
