Ensure Blood is Available This Summer by Donating

6/04/2015 - Bloomington, Illinois

OSF St. Joseph Medical Center and The American Red Cross of the Heartland are hosting a blood drive on Thursday, June 25. Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs a blood transfusion. With schools out and many regular donors vacationing, summer is an especially difficult time to collect enough blood donations to meet the needs of patients.

The blood drive will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in the Coffman Conference Room, located near the cafeteria on the lower level.

To make an appointment, please call (309) 662-3311, ext. 1030. Walk-ins are welcome. For every pint of blood donated, individuals will receive a FREE pint of Carl’s ice cream.
