OSF Women's Lifestyle Show Set for October

5/11/2015 - Peoria, Illinois

OSF HealthCare is pleased to announce the Women's Lifestyle Show will go on after reaching agreement with Joy Miller & Associates to continue the 24-year-old community tradition, which seeks to help women grow personally and professionally.

This year’s show is set for Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Peoria Civic Center from 9 AM – 4 PM.

Joy Miller will continue to participate in the OSF Women’s Lifestyle Show with her business as a sponsor.

While the format of the show will remain fun, educational, inspirational, and empowering, some minor changes will be evident, like a stronger focus on healthcare. Many of the past sponsors and exhibitors are returning to add to the quality and diversity of the show. The speaker line up will cover a wide range of women focused topics including nutrition, health and wellness, life balance, and general entertainment.

“Our research shows that, on average, women are caring for or heavily influencing the health care decisions of eight to ten people,” said Jen Hopwood, Vice President of Patient Care and Chief Nursing Officer at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. “Women often have the role of ‘Primary Health Care Manager’ for themselves and many others. OSF is dedicated to supporting women in their journey to provide excellent care for themselves and those closest to them.  The OSF Women’s Lifestyle Show will be a great venue for women to explore all that’s available to them.”

The OSF Women’s Health Center is a unique facility serving the special needs of women at every stage of life. At the OSF Women’s Health Center, women will discover resources to access OSF state-of-the-art medical services, specialized health services such as breastfeeding support, pelvic health exercise and therapy, general wellness and nutrition classes, and support services.
