The Auxiliary at OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center was recently recognized by the Illinois Hospital Association. The organization was honored with the Constituency on Volunteers (CoV) Health Care Advocacy Award.
In 2015, only twenty-three Illinois hospitals qualified for the award. Criteria included attendance at a CoV workshop and volunteer leadership retreat, support of legislative efforts and contributions to the CoV Scholarship Fund.
The OSF Saint Elizabeth Auxiliary is led by President Pam Muzzarelli, shown holding the award certificate. She is joined by fellow Auxiliary board members Don Johnson, Publicity/Health Advocacy and Karen Rhodes, First Vice President (front row). The Auxiliary celebrated 50 years of service in 2009 and serves to meet the mission of fundraising and generating donations toward purchasing state-of-the-art hospital equipment and supporting community initiatives.
