OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group is pleased to announce it has been named a 2016 Guardian of Excellence Award® winner by Press Ganey. The Guardian of Excellence Award recognizes top-performing health care organizations that have consistently achieved the 95th percentile or above of performance in Clinical Quality.
The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally-recognized symbol of achievement in health care. Presented annually, the award honors clients who consistently sustained performance in the top 5% of all Press Ganey clients for each reporting period during the course of one year.
OSF St. Francis Hospital & Medical Group’s Quality Department has worked hard to set forth programs and initiatives that have played a large role in consistently performing in the top 5% of all Press Ganey clients in Clinical Quality. Initiatives surrounding surgical infection prevention, early recognition of stroke, increasing appropriate immunizations, reducing heart failure readmissions and preventing and treating pneumonia are all part of OSF’s mission to provide quality care.
