Becker's Hospital Review has released the 2017 edition of its list of healthcare leaders under the age of 40. The list of 60 includes three from OSF HealthCare.
The individuals included have gone above and beyond to achieve greatness in the healthcare field at a young age. The list includes physicians, hospital and health system executives and healthcare company innovators.
Those recognized from OSF HealthCare are:
Eric Curry, Vice President of Strategic Planning. He is one of the youngest vice presidents at OSF HealthCare at 31 years old. His primary focus is devising a strategy for OSF to leverage big data that will enhance patient access to care in both urban and rural areas. Curry has expertise in generating consumer insights due to time spent early in his career as a management consultant to many Fortune 500 clients.
Mathew Hanley, CFO of OSF Saint Anthony's Health Center in Alton, IL. Prior to being named OSF Saint Anthony's CFO in 2016, Hanley served as the director of strategic affiliation for OSF HealthCare, where he developed a systemwide automated contractual allowance model that was used for more than 10 years. In his current position, Hanley is responsible for developing and executing a five-year strategic plan to bring the hospital up to systemwide operating performance standards.
Wendy Mitchell, Vice President of Operations, OSF HealthCare Foundation. Mitchell is responsible for the foundation's operations, including implementing strategic priorities and aligning all Ministry directives. She also oversees the foundation's major fundraising programs and development of management staff.
The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team accepted nominations and conducted an internal review process to select members of this year's list. The list seeks to highlight the accomplishments of outstanding individuals who climbed the ranks within their organizations or founded their own innovative businesses. Many of the Rising Stars have received top honors from professional organizations and impressed their colleagues with expertise well beyond their years.
