Christina Ropp, Rehabilitation Clinical Internship Coordinator for OSF HealthCare has been awarded the Kathy Johnson Excellence in Clinical Education Award from the Central ACCE Consortium (CAC). The CAC is a regional consortium consisting of the physical therapy and physical therapist assistant education programs in the states of Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma.
Ropp was nominated by the faculty of the Program in Physical Therapy at Saint Louis University who work with her on the placement and direct supervision of physical therapy students at OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
The Johnson Award is named after one of the founding members of the CAC and a long time Saint Louis University faculty member and early innovator in clinical education of both PT and PTA students. Professor Johnson was passionate about the importance of clinical education and especially in the support of clinical faculty who voluntarily serve as clinical instructors for both PT and PTA students.
