After serving the Ottawa community for almost three decades, ReRuns, the resale shop operated by the OSF HealthCare Saint Elizabeth Medical Center Auxiliary, will close on October 31, 2017.
“ReRuns opened on October 31, 1989 and will close its doors exactly 28 years later,” says Jayne Nugent, Manager of Volunteer Services at OSF Saint Elizabeth. “Our volunteers provided valuable resources to the Ottawa community, and their efforts will be long remembered.”
All community members are encouraged to stop by ReRuns to shop the additional closeout sales. All items must go, and with the exception of a few consigned items, everything is 50% off.
Established to serve the public by offering retail merchandise for their use at bargain prices, the store, operated almost entirely by volunteers, has historically been a good fundraiser for the auxiliary. However, changes in consumer shopping habits and increased competition prompted the auxiliary board to decide to close the store. In August, it was announced that the store would close at the end of November, but the official close date will be October 31, 2017.
