Nearly a year since ground was broken on the project, OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital and Medical Group – Gladstone, is ready to accept patients.
The new facility, at 145 4th Avenue NE, Gladstone, will be dedicated during a blessing and ceremony on Wednesday, September 13. The blessing will be conducted by hospital chaplain, Father Emmett Norden.
The public is invited to tour the facility during a ribbon cutting and open house from 5 to 7 p.m. that same day.
The 18,000 square-foot medical office building houses Gladstone Family Medicine and OSF Rehabilitation- Gladstone. The additional space allows for more patient exam rooms and two state-of-the-art minor treatment exam rooms; new laboratory and medical imagining equipment, including a digital x-ray machine; and a designated space for occupational medicine and audiology services.
David Lord, president at OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital and Medical Group, says, “The new Medical Office Building will improve accessibility and the way we serve our patients with the addition of rehabilitation services and wound care in one convenient location.”
Dr. Kim Johnson, Director of Physician Practices, is excited patients will begin receiving care in a larger, more modern facility. “I am confident that this new facility will give our patients a better care experience- provided by the same Community of Caregivers that the Gladstone community has entrusted with their care for more than 20 years.”
OSF HealthCare St. Francis Hospital and Medical Group – Gladstone opens for patients September 18.
OSF serves approximately 45,000 people throughout Delta County and surrounding communities annually through hospital, physician and home based services.
