The OSF HealthCare Center for Health – Streator renovations are progressing ahead of schedule with exterior renovations to begin April 9, and community members are asked to note some upcoming changes. Both the facility entrance and designated parking areas will be impacted.

On Monday, preparations for the new addition will begin, including demolition of the existing canopy and surrounding area. To accommodate this work, a portion of the main parking lot north of the facility will be unavailable. Any parking spots that remain should be reserved for individuals who have difficulty walking or need special assistance.

All additional patients and visitors are asked to park in the lot west of IL-23. On-campus patient transportation services during the exterior renovation phase are being coordinated but are not currently available. Please see the adjoining map for additional information.

“We would like to thank everyone for their patience,” stated DeCarol Hardenburg, OSF HealthCare Corporate Project Manager. “The work is progressing very well as we continue on this journey to transform health care in Streator.”

In addition to modified parking, the main entrance at OSF Center for Health – Streator will be closed. All patients and visitors will be asked to enter through the Emergency Room (E.R.) entrance doors just west of the former entry.  An information desk has been relocated inside the E.R. entrance for added convenience.

It is estimated for the exterior renovations to be completed by December of 2018. Completion of the entire project is slated for late summer 2019. The renovations are a key element of OSF's overall plan to promote health and wellness in the Streator community.

“The building renovations are just a piece of a larger initiative,” stated Don Damron, Vice President of Ambulatory Services.  “Work continues to progress with community partnerships as we learn how to best deliver health care services to rural communities for generations to come, and Streator is paving the way.”

All patient services will remain available during renovation, and hours of operation will not be impacted. Construction updates may be found by visiting https://www.osfhealthcare.org/locations/streator/about/construction/.
