Live Well Streator is a new community collaborative recently launched, with the help of OSF HealthCare, to develop solutions that create new possibilities for healthier lives.

The Live Well Streator steering committee is comprised of twelve individuals from diverse backgrounds and Ellen Vogel, with OSF HealthCare, who serves as the program facilitator. Together, group members, and over forty action team members, are focusing on building awareness about community resources and creating new partnerships that support the following priorities: healthy eating, physical activity, and a reduction in opioid usage and overdose.

Help us kick off efforts for Live Well Streator and the Activity Action Team, by joining for a 2.8 mile trail walk at the new Greenway Trail Park, located at 201 W. Broadway in Streator. This free trail walk will be held from 9 a.m. until Noon on Monday, September 3.  The first twenty-five walkers will receive a free pedometer. No registration is required.
