OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center presents “CornaPalooza” a 5K /10K Run and 5K Fitness Walk, Saturday, August 11th in conjunction with the 71st Annual Mendota Sweet Corn Festival. The race starts & ends at Lake Mendota, on Tom Merwin Drive in the heart of Mendota. The course will take you west outside of Mendota to take on the rolling hills and sights of rural Mendota. Race Day registration & packet pick-up starts at 6:30 a.m. near the West Shelter at Lake Mendota. The 5K / 10K Run and 5K Fitness Walk will all begin at 8:00 a.m. sharp.
Awards will be presented to the 1st overall male and female in the 5K and 10K runs. 1st through 3rd places will be awarded medals in each age group. Race participants will receive an official “CornaPalooza” t-shirt (size nor shirt guaranteed for late registrants) and will be eligible for some great corny giveaways and food. Entry fee is $25 pre-register online at www.signmeup.com/125488 or if form is postmarked by 7/27/18. Price changes to $30 on 7/28/18 through the day of the race. Proceeds will benefit the start-up of OSF Saint Paul Community Garden; a new program that will be impactful not only in the harvest it provides but also in the collaboration of the community towards health and wellness.
