Luker Recognized by National Healthcare Publication

10/09/2018 - Monmouth, Illinois

OSF HealthCare Holy Family Medical Center is pleased to announce that President Patty Luker has been named as one of the “71 Critical Access Hospital CEOs to Know - 2018” by Becker’s Hospital Review, an industry publication for healthcare industry leaders. The list of 71 hospital leaders are presidents and CEOs of organizations which regularly lead efforts in patient safety and quality healthcare.

According to the publication, these individuals hold an important role within their community, serving on corporate boards and state-level initiatives to improve access to care.  Several have overseen hospital expansions, mergers and electronic health record implementations, as well as the construction of satellite clinics and strategic partnerships with local healthcare organizations.

“This recognition in the health care industry is a real honor,” said Patty Luker, President of OSF HealthCare Holy Family Medical Center. “It’s a testament to the combined results of the hard work every Mission Partner on our team contributes to serving with the greatest care and love as we put patients first and raise the bar on performance each year.”

Luker joined OSF HealthCare in 2009.  As president of OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth, she has been responsible for three large renovation projects including the expansion of the facility’s Rural Health Clinic and recruitment of several new physicians and mid-level providers; not always an easy task in rural communities. Additionally, she most recently helped OSF Holy Family Medical Center rank in the top one percent of all hospitals in the nation for employee engagement in surveys aimed at continuous improvement.

Luker presently serves as chairman of the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network’s (ICAHN) External Peer Network Committee. The network’s mission is to strengthen and provide assistance and resources to its 53 member hospitals as well as rural health clinics through collaboration. It most recently built a new facility in Princeton, IL to offer training, events and continuing education.

Dawn Trompeter, President of OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center in Mendota, was also named on the most recent Becker’s Hospital Review list of “Critical Access Hospital CEOs to Know.”
