On Tuesday, August 6, 2019, Little Company of Mary Hospital (LCMH) celebrated the groundbreaking of the brand new Emergency Department (ED) renovation/expansion project. The project is slated to take two years and increase the current footprint by 40 percent.
The renovated emergency department will improve efficiency and patient throughput. Environmentally-friendly materials were thoughtfully chosen, which will enhance patient privacy and safety and reduce noise. The project includes a dedicated fast track area, dedicated behavioral health suite and more.

What a gift to be able to transform our Emergency Department to meet our community’s needs for a world class healthcare facility,” said John Hanlon, MD, MMM, President and CEO of LCMH. “We recognize that our Emergency Department is the front door to our organization and often times the first impression of LCM. We are not just breaking ground today, but achieving yet another important milestone in our journey.”
