Volunteering - An Opportunity to Give Back

2/28/2019 - Ottawa, Illinois

  • A group of volunteers at the volunteer appreciation luncheon.

Give back to your community by becoming a volunteer with OSF HealthCare. Adult and teen volunteers are needed in a multitude of service areas at OSF HealthCare Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa and OSF HealthCare Center for Health – Streator.

The OSF Care-A-Van is in need of volunteer drivers and assistants. The OSF Care-A-Van program provides transportation for patients, who live within 8-miles of OSF HealthCare Saint Elizabeth Medical Center, to and from OSF HealthCare scheduled appointments.  In addition, the escort courier program and hospital gift shop are also in need of volunteers. In Streator, volunteers are needed to assist at the information desk and in the emergency department. Additional volunteering positions are available, upon request.

The new volunteer orientation will be held on Friday, March 15, from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in Meeting Room 3 of OSF HealthCare Saint Elizabeth Medical Center.

Volunteering at the hospital is a great way to stay active, serve your community, and make new friends. In addition, as a volunteer you will receive a free flu shot and have the opportunity to qualify for a complimentary membership at OSF LifeFit in Ottawa or the Streator Family YMCA.

To access the volunteer application, please visit osfsaintelizabeth.org or contact Volunteer Services at (815) 431-5432 or (815) 431-5499. Applications must be submitted to Volunteer Services prior to attending an orientation.
