OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center has been recognized by The Chartis Center of Rural Health and the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) for overall excellence in Outcomes reflecting top quartile performance among all rural hospitals in the nation.

“This award is a testament to the relentless efforts of each and every one of our Mission Partners to provide the best care possible for our patients.  Serving our patients with the greatest care and love is our Mission,” said Dawn Trompeter, President of OSF HealthCare Saint Paul Medical Center.  She added, “We are blessed to be able to care for our family, friends, neighbors and the surrounding communities and strive to make a positive impact in each person we encounter.”

The Performance Leadership Awards are determined each year using iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength INDEX®, the industry’s most comprehensive and objective assessment of rural hospital performance. Leveraging data from public data sources, the INDEX aggregates data from 50 rural-relevant metrics across eight pillars to derive a single overall percentile rating for all Critical Access Hospitals and Rural & Community Hospitals. The Performance Leadership Awards spotlight top performance in the areas of Quality, Outcomes and Patient Perspective.

Other rural facilities within the OSF HealthCare ministry receiving recognition for top performance in Outcomes include OSF HealthCare Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee and OSF HealthCare Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth.  OSF Holy Family was also honored in the Patient Perspective category with OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa achieved Overall Excellence in Quality.
