The February 2019 Daisy Award was presented to Jodi Brown from Peoria. She works in the Surgical ICU. Her nomination from the family member of a patient reads:

From the moment we met Jodi, we noticed the exceptional level of attentiveness paid to my father and to our family. We are convinced that her compassion, expertise and dedication played a significant role in our father's amazing recovery.

The Daisy Award is a national endeavor that recognizes exemplary professional practice among nurses. OSF Saint Francis was the first hospital in the Midwest to participate in the program. Nurses who win receive a special pin and a bouquet of daisies.
