The OSF Selection Process

  • The OSF Selection Process

To ensure a strong future and continued access to quality local health care, Annette Schnabel, DPT, MBA, FACHE, President and CEO, Perry Memorial Hospital led the Perry Board of Directors and Princeton City Council through a process to select a partner with a shared interest and commitment to the community.

Perry has been affiliated with OSF HealthCare for many years, and OSF is an established leader in critical and specialty care for residents of Bureau, Marshall and Putnam counties. CEO Annette Schnabel, the Board of Directors and City of Princeton representatives have chosen to explore the possibility of a transfer of ownership with OSF HealthCare.

Annette Schnabel, members of the Perry Board of Directors and City representatives visited several facilities in positions similar to Perry’s and that selected OSF HealthCare as their future partner.  These leaders spent time understanding the work and approach that OSF HealthCare has taken with its partners.

“OSF HealthCare’s model and the great work that it is doing in Streator, Mendota, Ottawa and Kewanee works to ensure high quality health care in those communities for many years to come,” Princeton Mayor, Joel Quiram shared. “It’s that same commitment for Perry and the entire Perry market that we must strive for when considering our community’s future.”

The next press release will discuss the Memorandum of Understanding, the Letter of Intent and Due Diligence.
