(June 2 2021/MONMOUTH, Illinois) – OSF HealthCare Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth has received a 5-star rating for quality under new performance guidelines from the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS). The updated 2021 rating includes a variety of more than 100 measures CMS publicly reports, divided into 5 categories: Mortality, Safety of Care, Readmission, Patient Experience, and Timely & Effective Care.
OSF Holy Family Medical Center is one of less than two-dozen hospitals in Illinois and one of only seven outside the Chicago area to receive the 5-star rating. Nationally, 455 hospitals out of more than 6,000 nationwide achieved the highest quality rating.
“This is an incredible honor and a reflection of the daily commitment our Mission Partners (employees) show to providing the highest quality and best experience for the patients we serve, said Lisa DeKezel, president of OSF Holy Family Medical Center. This rating is a clear reflection of what our communities can expect in the teams they trust when they come to us for care close to home.”
