About Us

Michelle Conger joined OSF HealthCare in 1994. From that time, she has served the OSF HealthCare System with growing executive responsibility at both the local and enterprise levels.
Ms. Conger served as the Senior Vice President of Performance Improvement until 2010 when she began serving as the Chief Strategy Officer for OSF HealthCare. As the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), Ms. Conger has the responsibility for the development of system wide strategy, growth and business development plans, marketing, communications, and innovation. In 2019 in addition to her role as CSO Ms. Conger became the first CEO of OSF OnCall, OSF’s digital health hub. This responsibly includes the execution of digital strategy, virtual care platforms and on demand care models.

Her professional accomplishments also include achieving a Six Sigma black belt (2002) and Six Sigma master black belt (2003), Modern Healthcare top 25 Innovators 2022 and Becker’s top 50 Chief Strategy Officers 2023, Ms. Conger holds an MSW from the University of Illinois.

Jennifer Junis is the senior vice president of OSF OnCall. In this role, she oversees the strategic and operational structure of three divisions: digital experience, digital care and on demand services.

During the beginning of COVID-19 in March 2020, Jennifer successfully turned the five-year strategy for OSF OnCall into the OSF HealthCare Pandemic Digital Response Hub in less than five weeks. This led to a contract with Illinois to digitally care for thousands of people across the state.

Since then, Jennifer has advanced several digital health programs serving communities, health care organizations and companies throughout Illinois. This includes transforming the call center into an omnichannel digital experience; implementing a $64 million state program to increase access to care, improve health care outcomes and address the unmet needs of Medicaid patients; and deploying 26 modern urgent care facilities.

Before joining OSF OnCall, Jennifer served as a hospital president and chief nursing officer within OSF HealthCare. She has remained certified as a registered nurse since 1994. Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago.

Melinda Cooling, DNP, serves as the senior vice president of Advanced Practice and chief clinician executive OSF OnCall at OSF HealthCare. Melinda is a clinical leader with expertise in building clinical models of care, including in-person and digital care solutions. She also collaborates with operational and clinical leaders to design and implement new digital solutions to provide care for patients and communities.

In addition, Melinda is a family nurse practitioner, serving patients within an internal medicine/pediatrics practice as well as the modern urgent care environment. She developed the vision for the Center for Advanced Practice within OSF HealthCare and conceptualized the nationally accredited Advanced Practice Provider (APPs) Fellowship. She has also held faculty positions in undergraduate and graduate colleges of nursing. 

Melinda has experience in research, serving as a principal and co-investigator for a variety of studies. She is actively involved in multiple APP leadership groups across the country and speaks both nationally and internationally. In addition, she serves as a commissioner on accreditation for American Nurses Credentialing Center Transition to Practice programs. 

Melinda earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Science at University of Illinois College of Medicine Chicago.

Kate Barth, MSN, CNRN, is the vice president of On Demand Services and Chief Nursing Officer at OSF OnCall. In this role, she is responsible for implementing the strategic direction and business development of OSF OnCall Urgent Care locations across Illinois as well as any future state On Demand services. She maintains a primary focus around financial, operational, brand, facility and service integration efforts.

As Chief Nursing Officer, Kate ensures the delivery of proficient nursing care services, developing the structure for a Center of Expertise and initiating several councils and committees such as Quality Council and Clinical Practice Council. She also plays a pivotal role in establishing quality standards, policies and procedures in collaboration with other clinical leaders within the Ministry, adhering to government and regulatory guidelines.

Before joining OSF OnCall, Kate served in performance improvement as well as a variety of leadership roles within ambulatory and inpatient neuroscience care units. Kate graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in 2010 and received her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in 2019. 

Brandi Clark is the vice president of Digital Care for OSF OnCall, overseeing digital acute care, outpatient and community care services.  In this role, she led the design, build and operations of the OSF OnCall Digital Hospital, an initiative providing inpatient level care to people in their homes. She also developed and maintains the continuum of remote patient monitoring programs, transforming care for Medicaid recipients as part of a contract with Illinois.

Brandi has been with OSF HealthCare since 2004, serving in a variety of leadership positions within Performance Improvement, Business Development and OSF OnCall On Demand Services. She transitioned to Digital Care in 2021.

Brandi received her Bachelor of Science in speech language pathology from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where she went on to earn her Master of Science in speech language pathology.

Melissa Shipp is the vice president of Digital Experience at OSF OnCall.  In this role, she oversees the standardization, development and innovation of the front-end, total digital patient experience at OSF HealthCare.

As part of this work, Melissa has created a centralized approach to primary and diagnostic outpatient scheduling, medication prior authorization and patient navigation across the Ministry. She leads the strategy for the digital front door, ensuring a consistent and personalized digital patient experience.  Melissa also drives the digital outreach program to proactively engage with patients in their health.

Before joining OSF OnCall, Melissa served in various leadership roles in hospital operations since 2009. She holds a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University.
