Changes to Several Chemistry Assays

2/27/2013

Effective February 27, 2013, the 7 assays listed below have been moved from the Immulite in Isotopes to the Architect. With this change, there are some differences; please pay close attention to the specimen type and the stability.

Also below are listed the new reference ranges and units. These changes have also been made within our Directory of Services.

Test Name/Code Volume Tube Type Stability Reference Range
Beta 2 Microglobulin (B@GLB) 1 mL Serum Gold, Red, Lavender Refrigerate 0.97-2.64 mg/L
High Sensitivity CRP (HSCRP) 1 mL Serum Gold, Red, Lavender, Heparin Refrigerate < 5 mg/L
Insulin (INS) 1 mL Serum Gold, Red, Lavender Aliquot & Freeze
