Masking and Visitor Restrictions

Due to the uptick in reported cases of respiratory illness in the communities OSF serves, mask-wearing guidance and visitor restrictions are in effect at all OSF facilities in Illinois and Michigan.

The following is in effect:

  • Patients and visitors are strongly encouraged to wear masks at all facilities.
  • All patient-facing Mission Partners should wear masks when at work and providing patient care, regardless of vaccination status, except when eating or drinking.

In addition to masking, we are:

  • Limiting visitors to two per patient at any time.
  • Considering visitors under age 18 on a case-by-case basis.
  • Limiting visits to patients in isolation for influenza-like illness to those necessary for the patient's emotional well-being and medical care only.
  • Allowing exceptions for end-of-life.
