Dr. Brian Sipe joined OSF Saint James in 2004. "Even though I trained in big cities, I grew up on an 80-acre farm in Missouri. So being able to live and work in a smaller town like Pontiac is ideal for me and my family.
In college, I actually planned on becoming an engineer but decided on medicine instead. I’ve always been active in sports and interested in injuries and recovery, so orthopedic surgery is the perfect choice. Orthopedic patients tend to recover quickly and that is very rewarding. I like taking broken things and fixing them!
My wife, Kim, is a nurse anesthetist and we have three young children, two girls and a boy. Outside of work, I enjoy being with my family, playing hockey, traveling and occasionally getting to a Chicago Bears game!"
