The opportunity to work in a Level 1 trauma center is what drew Denise to OSF HealthCare.
She enjoys the variety of cases and loves the challenges that come with making critical decisions in real time.
But she also appreciates opportunities to get to know her patients personally and help make them comfortable talking about their needs and problems.
A native of Mendota in northern Illinois, Denise and her 14-year-old son, Ryne, are big Chicago Cubs fans and season ticket-holders at Rockford Icehogs hockey games. They have a golden retriever named Wrigley.
Ryne is high-functioning autistic, and Denise spends a lot of time volunteering for events to support autism awareness. She also tries to stay physically active with Crossfit, biking and running 5K races.
