Lorel began her nursing career working in Labor & Delivery, and fell in love with it.
“However, many of the births I attended were very cold and impersonal,” she said. “I thought there has to be another way of doing this.”
That’s when Lorel went back to school to become a Nurse-Midwife.
“Midwifery is a science as much as an art. By providing holistic and culturally sensitive care, I strive to focus on the individual person and recognize each woman’s unique strengths and needs,” she said. “As a provider of care, I like to empower women to assume responsibility for their health and the health of their families by providing evidence-based information and helping them make informed decisions.
“I love taking care of pregnant patients and providing care and education for women of all ages,” Lorel said. “I am honored to be with women as they go through life changes, including puberty, childbearing age and menopause.”
