Kellie has wanted to work in health care ever since she was a kid growing up in Pecatonica, Illinois. Working as an advanced practice nurse allows her to combine her love of science with her desire to help people. She chose to pursue a career working in primary care because she likes the importance of her role in a greater team that serves the total well-being of patients.
“I enjoy the challenge of putting the whole picture together – the art and science of taking care of an individual - to figure out how best to help patients meet their individual goals,” Kellie said. “I believe that my role is to listen to patients and provide support that helps them make their own best health care decisions.”
She chose to join the OSF HealthCare team because she believes in the Mission of the Ministry to serve others with the greatest care and love. Plus, she loves how everyone in her office works together to provide the best possible patient care.
She and her husband, Jeff, have a daughter, who Kellie described as “the light of our lives.”
In her free time, the most important thing to Kellie is spending time with her family. She also loves traveling, spending time outdoors, scrap-booking and training with friends for physical challenges like half-marathons. She volunteers at her church and her daughter’s school.
