Dr. Saeed grew up in a suburb of Cleveland, and the close-knit community of Rockford reminds her of her childhood home.
Neurology became a passion for her during medical school, and having a renowned neuromuscular expert for a mentor developed her interest in the subspecialty.
“Having a passion for the field of biology and science, and shadowing various doctors while witnessing the benefit that was being provided to others, made me appreciate and realize that this was the career for me,” she said.
Her approach to care starts with building a relationship with her patients and she treats all patients as if they are family members. She begins patient visits by listening, so she can understand a patient’s concerns. She is thorough when it comes to performing exams and searching for the root cause of any ailment. She is thorough, too, when it comes to discussing care plans with patients, addressing their concerns and answering their questions.
Dr. Saeed lives in Chicago with her husband. She likes spending time with family and friends and reading. She also jogs and takes taekwondo classes.
