Dr. Natesan was born in India and grew up in Tennessee. Before coming to OSF HealthCare Cardiovascular Institute, he served as a cardiologist, clinical instructor, hospitalist and internal medicine physician with over 18 years of patient-care experience.
Dr. Natesan graduated from Madras Medical College, one of the oldest medical teaching institutions In India, and credits both of his parents being physicians and his love for science as his motivation to become a physician.
“I received a book on the cardiovascular system in the 8th grade for being at the top of my class in science.” Dr. Natesan said. “I was amazed at the complexity of the heart. I decided at that time that I would become a cardiovascular physician.”
Dr. Natesan believes in using an evidence-based approach in patient care. As an interventional cardiologist, he examines patients and orders tests to prevent, diagnose and treat heart conditions. He also can perform heart catheterizations and advanced heart procedures.
He is married and has two wonderful twin boys who are 9 years old. He loves music, movies and travel and is involved in charitable work.
