Philosophy of Care My goal is to actively listen to patients to discern their needs and develop a care plan. I prioritize educating patients and families about advanced heart failure because it is important for them to understand the disease, medical management and potential devices, and to prepare for the possible end-stage process.

Sharon Damron grew up near Hannibal, Missouri – the childhood home of Mark Twain. She decided to pursue a career in nursing after listening to stories from her grandmother and joining Future Nurses of America in high school, before joining ROTC in college and joining the Army Nurse Corps.
She has decades of experience serving cardiovascular patients in a variety of settings, providing her the expertise to serve as a vital member of an inpatient advanced heart failure team.
“Over the years I have seen the care of cardiac patients continue to evolve,” Damron said. “It continues to be an area of interest, amazement and growth, professionally.”
She is married. She and her husband have a son. She enjoys running, is a member of Philanthropic Educational Organization and attends Cedar Hills Baptist Church.
