Philosophy of Care Every patient and family is an equal member of the care team. I provide care under the principles of dignity, respect, honesty, trust, and collaboration.
Robert Lucia’s introduction to pulmonology came during the first rotation of his internship, and it was “love at first sight.”
“I love the balance and complexity of the pulmonary system. I enjoy being able to sit down and discuss available treatments, and figure out with my patient and their family the best care plan moving forward,” he said.
“Pulmonology and sleep medicine also provide many opportunities for teaching, which is one of my favorite parts of medicine.”
When he’s not seeing patients or teaching, Robert enjoys volunteering with student organizations at his alma mater, Bradley University, as well as running and spending time with his family.
