Hello, and welcome to the Ottawa Regional EMS System web page.

Ottawa Regional EMS System is comprised of 13 fire departments, ambulance services, industrial responders, and dispatch centers.  All of which have committed to provide the best possible care to all patients they are called up to serve. 

EMS OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center is the state-designated resource hospital for the Ottawa Regional EMS System.  As an EMS Resource Hospital, OSF Saint Elizabeth Medical Center provides primary and continuing education, quality assurance, licensure renewals, patient care protocols and ensures compliance to the IDPH Rules and Regulations which govern EMS.

All Ottawa Regional EMS System activities are performed under the direction of the EMS Medical Director and EMS System Coordinator.

Ottawa Regional EMS System is comprised of over 200 licensed EMS providers.  Within those providers include Emergency Medical Responders, EMT-Basics, Advanced EMTs, Paramedics, Emergency Communication Registered Nurses, Pre-Hospital Care Registered Nurses, and Emergency Medical Dispatchers.
