OSF Senior World

OSF Senior World gives families and caregivers a positive alternative for loved ones who do not need continuous nursing care. Adult Day Services are provided in an inviting community setting to help frail and disabled adults remain in their own home or with family/caregivers for as long as possible. It is also an option for those who are in, or are considering, an assistive living environment, but who may tend to isolate themselves from the social and physical activities offered. From the activity areas to the outdoor patio garden, OSF Senior World is inclusive, accessible and secure.

A Home for the Day

With the individual, family and advice of physicians, we have developed a secure and appropriate program of care. Healthful daily routines include living assistance, therapeutic activities, exercise and socializing in a secure and professionally supervised environment.

OSF Senior World provides:

  • Therapeutic activities
  • Nursing services
  • Personal care assistance
  • Emotional support
  • Sensory stimulation
  • Health monitoring
  • Nutritious meals
  • Resources and referrals
  • Socialization
  • Restorative exercise program

Who is Eligible?

OSF Senior World serves older adults from Peoria, Tazewell and Woodford counties in Central Illinois. All program applicants are evaluated individually. Scheduling depends on participant needs and transportation availability. OSF Senior World admits and treats all eligible persons without regard to race, creed, color, national origin, disability or age.

Transportation Options

OSF Senior World staff work very hard to help families and individuals access reliable transportation to and from our facilities. We work with public and private transportation providers to optimize the families’ choices.

The Cost of OSF Senior World

OSF Senior World is committed to affordable care. We participate with the Illinois Community Care Program, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Central Illinois Agency on Aging Respite program and long-term care insurance plans. Many families pay privately because of the great value OSF Senior World offers for their loved ones compared to in-home care or institutionalization. Our staff will gladly discuss our costs and help you explore funding options if needed.

A Secure Environment

OSF Senior World staff monitors all persons entering and leaving the facility. With our electronic key system, no one can enter or leave the premises without a staff member assisting them. OSF Senior World’s courtyard is also secured and monitored. All of our participants wear an identifying name tag with OSF Senior World’s telephone number on it, so they may be recognized as a participant of our program. For those who have a history of wandering or significant confusion, a secure environment is provided.

Caregiver Programs

OSF Senior World understands the importance of providing education and support for family caregivers. We practice an open door policy and welcome caregivers to contact us with questions regarding their loved ones participation in the program, community resources and approaches to care. We provide educational opportunities throughout the year at both locations and offer a weekly caregiver support program. For more information please contact either location.
