Surgical Services
The surgical services department can be found of the 1st floor of OSF Saint Luke Medical Center and includes 12 private patient rooms, 4-bed recovery room, 2 operating room suites, and 1 GI procedure room.
Patients will have a private room and an excellent nursing staff to guide them through surgery, from the initial interview before coming into the hospital to the follow-up phone call after the surgery is over.
We have 2 excellent anesthesia providers to make sure our patients are comfortable and safe during their time with us in the surgical department.
Our goal is to provide excellent care to each person we serve.

What to Expect/Bring
Surgery Waiting Area
On the day of your surgery, please report to Registration located in the first floor lobby at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center at the time you were told to arrive by the pre-op nurse. After you have been registered, you will be asked to wait in the waiting room until the nurse comes out to greet you and direct you to the Surgical Services Department.
Special Policies
- Leave jewelry and all valuables at home.
- Please do not bring small children.
- Have someone with you who can drive you home and stay with you after your discharge. You will not be able to taxi home alone.
