Dr. Phillip Olsson began his training in internal medicine then served as a nephrologist. He earned his medical degree at The Chicago Medical School, part of Rosalind Franklin University, in Chicago, then completed his residency in internal medicine at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois, and University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. He completed his nephrology fellowship at the University of Florida.
Dr. Olsson is board certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology and Hospice and Palliative Care and was granted the Hospice Medical Director Certified credential by the Hospice Medical Director Certification Board.
Dr. Olsson says he gains much satisfaction from being able to provide terminally ill patients significant relief and comfort in their final months.
Dr. Patricia Deters, MD, FACEP

Dr. Patricia Deters started her career as a Registered Nurse and later graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine.
During a residency in Emergency Medicine at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, she often counseled patients and families about end-of-life matters, and it was there that she developed an interest in palliative and hospice care.
Dr. Deters spends much of her time at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home working with patients to manage and control symptoms of pain and alleviate any spiritual, social and emotional angst they may have.
She meets with patients and families to educate them on end-of-life care, symptom management and the ways in which the Hospice Home team can best meet their needs.
Erin Neff, RN, BS
Manager, OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home
As manager of the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Erin Neff has 24/7 accountability for patient care and is responsible for the supervision and operational oversight of all hospice home staff and for the clinical care delivered to patients.
She has 35 years of experience as a nurse, with 30 of those years served in various management positions.
