Epilepsy

  • Epilepsy | Bloomington, Illinois
    • Our Eastern Region (Bloomington-Normal and Pontiac) neuroscience program is part of the larger Illinois Neurological Institute, the neuroscience service line of OSF HealthCare, with headquarters in Peoria, Illinois.  The INI includes all together more than 40 neurologists, neurosurgeons and physiatrists and more than 30 advanced practice providers.  Many faculty are fellowship trained and subspecialties include movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular, cognitive disorders, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-rehabilitation, epilepsy, stroke, headache and sleep.
    • Very busy neurology practice seeks an additional neurologist who is fellowship-trained in epilepsy to support to serve a well-established and growing patient base in Bloomington-Normal and Pontiac, IL
    • Physician will be responsible for the focused development of an epilepsy practice as an expanded service and the ability to serve surrounding communities through satellite or virtual clinics.
    • OSF St. Joseph Medical Center , a Level II trauma center and tertiary care facility, includes a medical staff of over 300 physicians, 149 licensed beds, all private rooms, and a 32-bed comprehensive care center using a universal bed model approach with patients.
    • While listed at 1:4, ED call is supported by SOC (Specialists on Call) 24/7 and is the primary resource for ED call. OSF St. Joseph utilizes Specialist on Call a 24/7 on-demand access to board certified, U.S. trained neurologists via a TeleNeurology service. This service supports our physicians with on-demand access to neurologist day or night and delivers clinical recommendations for patients suffering stroke or any other neurological emergency. It is specifically designed to deliver high quality neurological care with ease and efficiency.

    • OSF St. Joseph Medical Center is a Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center. Highly specialized interventional neuroradiologists work closely with our stroke team for acute intervention.

    • The Illinois Neurological Institute, a major teaching affiliate of the University of IL College of Medicine at Peoria, seeks a neurologist with expertise and/or fellowship training in epilepsy to be responsible for the focused development of a practice as a new service.
    • The INI group practice, with headquarters in Peoria, IL, includes 30+ neurologists and 30+ nurse practitioners. Most faculty are fellowship trained and subspecialties include multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular, neuro-ophthalmology, neuro-rehabilitation, epilepsy, stroke, headache/pain, and sleep.  Neurologist will be included in this community of subspecialty physicians.

    • The Illinois Neurological Institute (INI) is seeking a neurologist, either fellowship-trained or certified in Headache Medicine and interested in joining our Headache and Craniofacial Pain Program for a full time position to care for patients with all types of headache disorders.
    • Join a comprehensive Headache center with variety of coordinated services, including therapy, social work, counseling and nutrition, and standardized protocols in place for pharmacological and interventional treatments, including IV infusion, trigger point injections, nerve blocks, and Botox.

    • The Illinois Neurological Institute (INI) is seeking a fellowship-trained Movement Disorders neurologist to join an established practice, with two full-time, dedicated movement disorders neurologists, and one full-time, dedicated advanced practice provider.
    • Position is being created to address the growing population base.
    • This provider will work closely with our INI Memory and Dementia Care Clinic and perform deep brain stimulation and Botox for the treatment of movement disorders. 
    • The newly constructed 3-Tesla intraoperative (iMRI) operating suite, a Brainlab, GE and INI collaborative effort, provides the most advanced platform for laser ablation treatment for those with movement disorders and epilepsy.
    • Using a collaborative care model, with access to PT/OT, neuropsychology, social work and counseling, care for patients in a dedicated team.

Multiple Sclerosis Physician Director | Peoria, Illinois

    • We seek a board-certified neurologist who is fellowship trained in neurocritical care for the Illinois Neurological Institute at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. As part of the larger team of Inpatient Neuroscientists, the neurointensivist would be expected to cover various services – neurocritical care, stroke, general neurology, consult neurology, and teleneurology.  As these other services would be shared with inpatient dedicated neurologists, the coverage schedule for the neurointensivist would favor the neurocritical care rotation.
    • This is a full-time, salary-supported position. You will serve as a staff neurointensivist and will be responsible for providing primary medical management of patients within the unit, as well as oversight and collaboration with other practitioners who provide care in the unit. You will additionally participate in neurocritical care practice efficiencies, quality improvement programs, and educational activities for medical students, residents, nurses, and allied health professionals who provide care in the neurocritical care areas.
    • Neurological care services associated with the INI include: a 18-bed neuroscience intensive care unit, 9-bed neuro intermediate unit, 35-bed neurology/neurosurgery unit, 26-bed rehabilitation unit (CARF certified), dedicated neurosurgical operating room staff with an intraoperative MRI available, designated outpatient neurological diagnostic center, designated video EEG-monitored beds, and a sleep disorders center (AASM accredited).
